WASHINGTON, February 26, 2018 – The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing recently appointed Elizabeth Rosenzweig, M.S., CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT, to its Academy Board of Directors for three years.

“I am honored to be appointed to the AG Bell Academy Board of Directors for the 2018 to 2020 term. As an Academy board member, I plan to bring my experience as a certified auditory-verbal therapist and speech pathologist to ensure that professionals receive the appropriate training and resources they need in order to provide quality services to those with hearing loss,” said Elizabeth Rosenzweig.

Rosenzweig is currently a deaf education doctoral candidate in the Teachers College at Columbia University and an instructor in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Yeshiva University. Her current research focuses on parent coaching and counseling, how the quality of parent-child interaction affects language outcomes and personal preparation.

As an auditory-verbal therapist, she also serves families worldwide through teletherapy and mentors aspiring Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) professionals. She also holds speech-pathology licenses in Kentucky, Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Rosenzweig is featured in many journals, including Otology and Neurotology and Volta Voices, and books, such as Happy Birthday to My Ears and Ellie’s Ears. She regularly publishes on hearing loss at www.auditoryverbaltherapy.net.

She is a lifelong member of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the American Educational Research Association, American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and the National Leadership Consortium in Sensory Disabilities.
