When you choose to make a gift in your will, you are supporting causes that have been important in your life.

Kids need our help from cradle to career.

Even with technology and therapy, children who are deaf and hard of hearing have difficulty in hearing and understanding lessons in school. As they grow, they face social challenges that can lead feeling isolated just as they are starting middle school and becoming teenagers. As they approach adulthood, teens need guidance and support in learning to speak up for themselves to get the accommodations they need, and they need connections to role models and friends who understand how they feel. AG Bell provides programs and support for children throughout their growing years. Help us ensure that they can continue to thrive.
Your gift makes a difference every day in the life of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing.

Mission

Working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

We want all families to be informed and supported, professionals to be appropriately qualified to teach and help children with hearing loss, public policy leaders to effectively address the needs of people with hearing loss, and communities to be empowered to help their neighbors with hearing loss succeed.

Core Values

Empowering and Respectful. We empower families to make informed choices, support all choices, value the contributions of those who are deaf and hard of hearing and advance leaders who are reflective of the communities we serve.

Forward-Thinking and Innovative. We appreciate AG Bell's heritage while actively anticipating and adapting to the changing environment, promoting access to technology and valuing visionary leadership.

Inclusive and Supportive. We are dedicated to listening and spoken language, and devoted to promoting a supportive, inclusive environment for all who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Dependable and Knowledgeable. We strive each day to uphold our reputation for providing evidence-based, reliable, and accurate information about listening and spoken language.

Goals

Families and Children - We will provide families with a wide array of resources that support them in raising independent and successful children, including access to services through legislation and regulatory activities, early diagnosis and intervention, opportunities for socialization and peer support for youth as they transition to adulthood.

Adults Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing - We will connect adults who are deaf and hard of hearing and build a community enabling them to work together to advance equal access, as well as increase awareness of technology that benefits them.

Professionals - We will provide professional development, credentialing opportunities, awareness-building tools, and comprehensive support to advance the theory and application of listening and spoken language for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing.

The Public - We will transform the public perception of deafness and teach the world that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

How AG Bell has helped families in need.

Financial strain caused by the global pandemic forced many families to delay their child’s auditory needs. Many postponed implantation surgeries, canceled medical appointments, and missed out on therapy sessions to pay for necessities such as housing, food, and other bills. No family should ever have to make this choice.

Your donation will help a child who is deaf or hard of hearing receive the support, education and medical attention they need. Donate now and give the gift of sound.
