How our COVID-19 Response Fund helps families in need.

Financial strain caused by the global pandemic has forced many families to delay their child’s auditory needs. They are postponing implantation surgeries, canceling medical appointments, and missing out on therapy sessions to pay for other necessities such as housing, food, and other bills. No family should ever have to make this choice.

Your donation will help a child who is deaf or hard of hearing receive the support, education and medical attention they need. Donate now and give the gift of sound.

Children who depend on school for therapy need your help.

Across the United States, 54 million children are attending school virtually. This means that children who depend on the school system for auditory care and speech therapy are not receiving the support and education they need. For every month that a child misses out on therapy sessions, they fall further and further behind. Help us get resources to these families in need by donating to the AG Bell COVID-19 Response Fund today.

Kids need teletherapy. Many families can’t afford it.

Families within the AG Bell community have reported not being able to do teletherapy sessions with their child because they can’t afford WiFi. We have also heard from families who are struggling to balance school, work and teletherapy sessions with a limited number of computers and mobile devices in their household. AG Bell’s COVID-19 Response Fund ensures that more children have access to teletherapy so they can continue to thrive.

Lost jobs = Lost hearing and speech.

Early access to sound is key, but unfortunately parents who have lost jobs are having to make difficult decisions. No family should have to choose between paying for essential items or helping their child learn to hear and talk. Help us support families in need by donating to AG Bell’s COVID-19 Response Fund today.

Your gift makes a difference every day in the life of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing.
