The new Rhode Island Chapter came together in 2016 in order to advocate, raise awareness, and create a support network for the community of deaf/hard of hearing children and adults in Rhode Island who use listening and spoken language. We have become a tightly knit group of parents, children, and professionals who utilize and promote listening and spoken language. We have members from all over our tiny Ocean State and we enjoy planning events to allow for networking, support, and raising awareness. We look forward to growing our Chapter and welcome you to reach out and join us!

Our Mission

Working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

We want all families to be informed and supported, professionals to be appropriately qualified to teach and help children with hearing loss, public policy leaders to effectively address the needs of people with hearing loss, and communities to be empowered to help their neighbors with hearing loss succeed.
