“Virtue, liberty, and independence” is the Pennsylvania state motto, but it could also describe our chapter. We have members all across this large state devoted to AG Bell’s mission of advocating independence through listening and talking. Our board comprises a cross-section of membership, with professionals, parents, and deaf adults all volunteering their time to help others.
We try to plan events in key cities so as to reach as many people possible, like Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg. We’ve started having online workshops and meet-ups through Zoom, a video conferencing service, so distance isn’t an issue.

We welcome new members, ideas, and questions! After all, communication is key in this Keystone state!

Our Mission

Working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

We want all families to be informed and supported, professionals to be appropriately qualified to teach and help children with hearing loss, public policy leaders to effectively address the needs of people with hearing loss, and communities to be empowered to help their neighbors with hearing loss succeed.
