Our Maryland AG Bell chapter aims to increase the presence of spoken language among the deaf and hard of hearing population in the state.  We have worked to develop and implement a parent-to-parent mentoring program to support families in their journeys, create a community of parents and professionals, and provide educational opportunities.  Additionally, we track proposed legislation affecting people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and emphasize to state lawmakers the importance of supporting listening and spoken language.

Our Mission

Working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

We want all families to be informed and supported, professionals to be appropriately qualified to teach and help children with hearing loss, public policy leaders to effectively address the needs of people with hearing loss, and communities to be empowered to help their neighbors with hearing loss succeed.
