Feature Articles

Feature articles are 1,000 to 1,200 words in length. Articles should be outcome-oriented and should provide specific facts backed by references, current resources and/or measurable results.

The following are types of manuscripts we most often
receive that do not fit our publication needs:

  1. Scholarly works more suitable for an academic journal.
  2. Articles that promote or advertise a specific product or service.
  3. Articles that focus solely on visual communication and do not provide information about listening and spoken language outcomes.
  4. Articles that are overly general and lack action steps.

Help keep AG Bell members in the know by submitting information to the Soundbites section on the following topics:

Chapters Program Updates - up to 150 words
Names and Events in the News - up to 100 words
Advocacy in Action – up to 100 words

Relevant photos may be submitted with text for consideration. See the Artwork section for file and format requirements. Submissions will be reviewed for content and timeliness. Accepted submissions will be edited for content and/or length as needed.

Our Mission

Working globally to ensure that people who are deaf and hard of hearing can hear and talk.

We want all families to be informed and supported, professionals to be appropriately qualified to teach and help children with hearing loss, public policy leaders to effectively address the needs of people with hearing loss, and communities to be empowered to help their neighbors with hearing loss succeed.
