STEM Internships Announced
Opportunity for Hands-On Research Internships!
Through the efforts of members
of the College Scholarship Selection Committee and their academic colleagues,
the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is able
to offer a special opportunity for students who are deaf or hard of hearing and
are currently college sophomores or juniors in the United States who are majoring
in the fields of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Several
professors with hearing loss in universities across the country are opening a
placement in a summer research internship and providing mentorship for a
student who uses listening and spoken language. Students who are chosen will be
provided with university housing and a limited stipend.
University partners include
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Keck School of Medicine at the
University of Southern California, Baylor College of Medicine, and the Oregon
Health and Science University. For information about these internships, please
