Wisconsin Joins AG Bell Chapter Network
Chapter to Host 2008 AG Bell Convention
Washington, DC, November 16, 2005 - The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) recently welcomed a new Wisconsin Chapter to the association. The chapter, which currently has over fifty members, will work to generate awareness of the benefits of hearing technology, speech therapy and early intervention so that children who are deaf and hard of hearing can learn to listen, talk and live independently in a hearing world.
“We are excited to have a state chapter established so that we can spread the mission of AG Bell throughout Wisconsin” said Ron Jahnke, President of the chapter.
The Wisconsin Chapter of AG Bell is already planning a number of activities that will take place around the state. One of these activities will be a parent advocacy training session in Milwaukee in early 2006. The chapter will also partner with the international AG Bell organization to host approximately 2,500 attendees at the 2008 AG Bell Convention in Milwaukee.
