President-Elect: Kacey Lindgren

I am a full-day preschool teacher at the Atlanta Speech School. I have been at the Atlanta Speech School for 3 years. I received my undergraduate degree from UNC Greensboro in 2002. I then moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University. In 2004, I received my Master's degree in Deaf Education. So began my career at the Atlanta Speech School. Through each of these experiences I have witnessed the life changing affect of hearing aids and cochlear implants with children who are deaf and hard of hearing. I hope that my time on the board of GA Bell will increase others' awareness of early detection and intervention.

Treasurer: Cindy Sharkey

I am a mother of a child, Will, 7, with profound sensori-neural hearing loss who receives great benefit from bi-lateral cochlear implants. I also have a daughter, Evelyn who is 10. As my son mainstreams away from the Atlanta Speech School my involvement with AG Bell will keep me actively involved in the important efforts of the association. I look forward to the contribution I can make.

Secretary: Corine Theobald

I am a full-day teacher at the Atlanta Speech School. I returned after spending a year teaching in DeKalb County. I have previously interned, student-taught, assisted, and been a lead-teacher in summer programs at the Atlanta Speech School. My undergraduate degrees are from the University of Georgia in Communication Disorders and Linguistics. Then I earned my master's degree in Deaf Education from Washington University in St. Louis where I was also a research assistant under Dr. Nancy Tye-Murray. It astounds me how much progress children who are deaf/hard of hearing can make so quickly with the right technology and intervention. I am happy to be a part of GA Bell.
