The Volta Review is currently seeking experts in literacy skill acquisition, early intervention, and speech and language development for individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing to serve as Associate Editors on the editorial board of its prestigious journal.
Associate Editors work with Sr. Associate Editor Kathryn L. Schmitz, Ph.D., to evaluate all submissions to The Volta Review for publication consideration based on merit and appropriateness to the journal. Associate Editors oversee a blind peer review for submissions as assigned. Associate Editors are also responsible for soliciting submissions to the journal using their professional contacts and networks.
Associate Editors must commit to a 2-year term and the review of up to 10 manuscripts a year, and be willing to provide quick and timely follow-up when requested.
