Hearing loss is the most common birth defect, yet most families are not familiar with it — or what the options for addressing it are. Yet, early diagnosis is critical so that children with hearing loss can benefit from advances in hearing technology and education. In May, AG Bell chapters across the United States host Talk.Walk.Run. events to raise awareness of the risks of childhood hearing loss and the options for addressing it, including spoken language.
