The Child & Teen Program will offer a dynamic experience for children ages birth through 17. Field trips and activities are planned to give children the opportunities to develop writing and teambuilding skills, learn about the arts and sciences, plus an old-fashioned trip to the zoo.
Children will be assigned to a group of same-age or similar-age peers based on chronological age and age-appropriate program activities are planned for each day. A team of professionals (educators, speech-language pathologists and developmental specialists) will lead the activities. Please see the registration brochure for more information on activities.
All childcare providers are screened and approved for participation in the program prior to the convention. Because of the structured content of the program, and to enhance continuity for the children participating, oneday registrations cannot be accommodated. Parents may arrange babysitting services through their hotel’s concierges.
Pre-registration is required for the Child & Teen Program and must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2008. There will be no on-site registration. Diapers and formula will not be provided. Refrigeration will be available. Medications will need to be administered by parents/ guardians as a program nurse will not be provided.
